Harvey is still an every day problem, but the redfish could care less!

It took quite a while to even find my computer once we returned home, not that I was even looking for it, but I had nothing to report anyway.  I also considered no longer occasionally posting reports, but a crazy number of readers said that anything at all is better than nothing.

Between cutting out sheet rock and pulling out insulation, we have managed to get in a few afternoon trips.  No guide parties as I was unsure as to how big a hit the catching took and clients would have no place to stay anyway with the hotels packed with displaced families.  What we have found is that the redfish action is just "stupid good", the flounder catching ranks about a 7 or 8 and we can only occasionally find small trout.

The past few days the north end of the lake has been as productive as the south end.  There has been no magic bait for the redfish...anything will do as long as you can reach them.  I recommend throwing something with a single hook rather than a treble hook as they only make removal from the fish or a body part more difficult.  We are also fishing with a cork only when looking for fish not on the surface.

I have gotten some decent reports on trout caught off the south end, but most of those fish have been on the small side.
