At last, you now have a picture of "The Voice" on KOGT radio. Gary Stelly took a little time off today and met me at the River Rat Marina right after recording "Let's Go Fishing" on the radio. Nothing like put up or shut up when the host of the show is looking for proof!
! Gary enjoyed the pull, but he's still a bass fisherman
We had a very enjoyable day and the fish cooperated. We stuck with Assassins and Creme Spoiler Shads to catch a good box of slot reds and trout. We found the trout under the birds on a very calm lake and they were all in that 18-20 inch range. We also found trout with the same lures fishing both East and Middle Pass with no birds around.
We had a hard incoming tide all afternoon and it is a good thing we did or it would have been difficult getting the boat back on the trailer. Most of the redfish were right on the bank and all of our slot fish were taken after the tide started in for us. We caught very few rat reds which is a huge change from this time last year.
It's official...catching fish is more fun than talking about catching fish! You're a true professional Dickie. Let me know when you're ready to open the Lodge :)
